More than forty years after its last major restoration, the Royal Chapel is requiring an urgent intervention on the roof timbers, the roof and decorative lead work, the statues and the window frames and stained glass. Follow the live of the restoration of this architectural masterpiece.
In June 2021, restoration work started on the Dauphine’s Private Chamber, formerly the residence of Maria Josepha of Saxony, wife of Louis of France and mother of Louis XVI, to restore it to its former colours. To this end, painter and decorator Gilles Dupuis has embarked on this project as a skills-based patronage operation.

The Portrait of Pierre Mignard is one of many depictions of artists presented in the exhibition dedicated to Hyacinthe Rigaud. Élodie Vaysse, curator of the exhibition, talks about a portrait which was recently restored thanks to the patronage of Mrs Krystyna Campbell-Pretty and her family.
On the occasion of the "return" of the works Zéphyr, Flore et l’Amour and L’Abondance to the national collections, the Public Establishment of the Palace of Versailles has designed a scientific and cultural cooperation programme in partnership with the Angolan State.
